Show En La Rumba
Timing Sunday | 6 – 8 PM EST

Growing up in the ‘60s, listening to my father’s music, I was exposed early on to the sounds of Afro-Cuban music. That infectious rhythm combined with the Cuban Son and Charanga, along with a healthy dose of Puerto Rican Bomba and Plena, which migrated to the streets of New York City, and gave way to the new and exciting genre which we call, SALSA! The likes of Celia Cruz, Richie Ray & Bobby Cruz, Ray Barretto, Willie Colón & Hector Lavoe, to name a few, shaped my affinity for the genre and so began my love affair with SALSA music! Now, I bring you the classics as well as the new releases that depict how the genre has evolved on my show, “En La Rumba!” which airs Sundays from 6 to 8 pm on Mundo Salsa Radio, where “Salsa is done right!”
