I’ve been into music since I can remember!! I’ve been Djing since 1979! I started with two turntables, a mixer, & vinyl records as a Hip Hop Battle Dj but ALWAYS Slipped in some SALSA into the mix for my SALSEROS!

Nearing his 60TH birthday got invited by the founder of MundoSalsaRadio.com Mr Richard “DJ Capicu” Rivera to be a part of his great team!

In January of 2021, I broadcasted my first show on Mundo Salsa Radio. I enjoy listening to music, traveling and working out. I have 8 grandkids and that’s why I am DJ Abuelito.

Ricardo Rivera, aka DJ Ricardo Capicu, as a preteen, his love of music began to be established as he listened to the music coming from the radio in his father’s grocery store.
